Natural disasters, emergency and rescue actions, terrorist attacks demand cooperation of various groups with different communication system on board. Communication and interoperability problems may have serious impact on any crisis situation.
In response to market demands DGT has developed Mobile Radio Integrator (MRI) which main role is to interconnect different radio systems from analogue, through DMR, TETRA, P25, GSM, to Wi-Fi by smartphone DGT PTT CONNECT application. Operator can communicate by loudspeaker kit, telephone handset or headphone set (optionaly). MRI can be equipped with additional memory storage for voice recording.
MRI provides parallel connection of four selected radio systems into one or two conferences. System can be expanded by external GSM/PSTN user which may be joined to any of the conferences. PTT Connect users can also be connected through Wi-Fi and joined to one of the conferences.
At current state, MRI by default is compatible with 8 different radio types. However, almost any radio interface can be added on customer’s request. MRI has dedicated accessory case for radio cables and power supply adapter.
MRI is simple and intuitive in operation, does not require specific knowledge or training. It is equipped with user friendly touch screen which provides information aboutradio connection status, conference status, GSM and Wi-Fi signal and other types of messages.
